There was a time when my weekends had one main agenda.
Hiking. π
Some people looked forward to sleeping in on weekends. Me? I was probably thinking about which trail to explore next.
And this particular trip to Bukit Pau was completely unplanned.
Sometimes those are the best ones.
No big itinerary. Just an opportunity to get outdoors, enjoy a good trail and spend some time surrounded by nature.

Back to the Trails
Bukit Pau, around the Ampang/Kemensah area in Selangor, was one of those places I really enjoyed exploring.
What I loved about this trail wasn’t just the hiking itself.
It was everything around it.
The tall trees, the greenery, the open views of the hills in the distance, and those little spots that make you stop walking just to appreciate what’s in front of you.

And then there was the water.
Surrounded by trees, with the sunlight reflecting off the surface, it was such a beautiful place to sit for a while.
I remember just being there, looking out at the view.
No rush to get anywhere.
Just enjoying the surroundings.

Simply lovely. β€οΈ
Hobbies Do Change π
Looking back at these photographs makes me smile.
There was a period when hiking was practically my weekend routine.
These days? Well, my interests have expanded a little. π
Coffee, photography, travelling, discovering new places, and whatever else catches my attention.
But I still love nature.
There’s something about being among the trees, away from the usual surroundings, that I always enjoy.
And looking at these pictures reminds me why I loved hiking so much in the first place.
A Little Memory Worth Keeping
Not every trip has to be carefully planned.
Not every adventure has to be extraordinary.
Sometimes it’s just a trail, a beautiful view, a quiet moment by the water, and a few photographs to look back on.
Bukit Pau was one of those days.
Would I go hiking again?
Of course!
Although I might need to convince myself to wake up early on a weekend first. π
Simply lovely. β€οΈ
Just here.
