The Story Behind Beyond The Horizon

If someone had told me a few years ago that I would one day start a travel blog, I probably wouldn’t have believed them.

The truth is that I never planned to become a blogger. I didn’t have a content strategy, a writing plan, or a goal of becoming a travel writer. In fact, the idea never even crossed my mind.

I enjoyed traveling, taking photographs, and collecting memories, but those moments were usually kept to myself. They lived in photo albums, on my phone, or in conversations with family and friends.

Then someone close to me suggested something that would eventually change everything. She told me that instead of keeping these experiences to myself, I should start writing about them.

At first, I wasn’t convinced. I remember thinking, who would want to read about my travels? I wasn’t a professional traveler. I wasn’t visiting exotic destinations every month. I was simply someone trying to explore the world a little more than before.

But she believed that the stories, experiences, photographs, and reflections were worth sharing. Looking back now, I’m grateful that she did.

Because starting this blog has given me something I never expected. It has allowed me to relive my journeys in a different way.

Every time I write about a destination, whether it’s a sunset in Raglan, a peaceful moment at Trimbakeshwar, a day of seva in Shirdi, or a quiet hike through nature, I get to revisit those memories again.

What started as a simple suggestion has become a personal journal of my experiences, thoughts, photographs, and lessons learned along the way.

The name Beyond The Horizon felt right from the beginning. For me, it represents curiosity. It represents looking beyond what is familiar.

It represents taking that extra step, whether that’s visiting a new destination, walking a new trail, experiencing a different culture, or simply seeing life from a different perspective.

The horizon is something you can see but never quite reach. The closer you get, the more there is to discover.

That is how I see travel.

Every journey leads to another story.

    Every experience teaches something new.

Every destination reveals a different perspective.

What means the most to me is knowing that people are actually reading these stories.

One comment that has stayed with me was from someone who said:

“I’m vicariously living those experiences through the blog.”

When I read that, I smiled.

Because that is exactly what I hoped this blog would do.

Not just document where I’ve been, but allow others to experience the journey alongside me.

So if you’re reading this, thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to follow my adventures, reflections, photographs, and stories.

And most importantly, thank you to the person who first encouraged me to start writing them.

Without that encouragement, Beyond The Horizon may never have existed.

And this story would never have been written.
